Vision:
To be the leader national center for drug information provision with continuous professional excellence.
Mission:
- Provides free, accurate, updated & unbiased evidenced based pharmaceutical information to health care providers and consumers to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Teaches pharmacy students, drug information residents, pharmacists, and other health care providers the skill of efficiently searching the literature, critically analyzing the information, and accurately communicating the response.
About KDIC
The KDIC is a pharmacy based service and is a part of the department of pharmacy in Cairo university hospitals and works incollaboration of the Clinical Pharmacology department faculty of Medicine Cairo university to provide a useful service about drugs and drug related problems to assist the center’s users in optimizing health outcomes. Who provides the service? >> The center is staffed by pharmacists with particular skills in locating, assessing and interpreting information about drugs, and an advisory board of clinical pharmacology and pharmacy committee. We provide a training on drug information services to : 1- Pharmacists 2- Pharm.D. students 3- Hospital Pharmacy Diploma students 4- Physicians |
Our training suits a wide range of organizational and healthcare professionals needs. Each of our training sessions is delivered by pharmacists whose experience and expertise of the drug information center is geared towards providing a customized practical DIC training.
Our training sessions are kept to small groups which allow trainees to discuss issues, ask questions and share experience of the trainer. For more information regarding fees, application and schedule, please contact the center.
